Newsflash: Edwin Cameron is now published in Korea!

Constitutional Court Justice Edwin Cameron’s acclaimed Justice: A Personal Account has just been published in Korea!

The book, which was first published by Tafelberg in 2014, examines and defends the role of the law in South Africa’s continuing transition.

The Korean jacket for Justice: A Personal Account

Drawing on his own life experience, including childhood hardships and struggles with sexuality and stigma, Cameron illustrates the power and the limitations of the law. At the time of publication, Sir Sydney Kentridge, QC, called it ‘a remarkable integration of fascinating, often moving personal memoir, professional reminiscence and acute historical analysis of South African law, politics and society’.

Eusebius McKaiser found it ‘an inspirational, but never a self-indulgent, story of a remarkable South African life.’

Justice: A Personal Account was a bestseller in South Africa.

The book has been positively reviewed in Korean newspapers and is finding a wide readership among legal scholars, and also amongst gay rights activists and people living with HIV/AIDS.

Cameron’s fist book, Witness to Aids, was also published in China, Korea, Germany and France. Chinese translation rights were licensed to The China Translation & Publishing Corporation and worldwide (with the exception of South Africa and China) publication and distribution rights is licensed to IB Tauris.
